Our Design Process
The process is simple: the Client can ask the Designer all the questions and the Designer will answer to the best of her ability. The Designer will give the Client all the answers within the Designer’s knowledge, supporting the advice with drawings, links, photos, ideas, and whatever else the Designer judges necessary for the successful accomplishment of the project by the Client.
At the end of the day, you will receive a PDF with all the discussed points and decisions made during the consultation.
That can include a purchasing list for your furniture, mood boards, or hand drawings made by the designer during the consultation. To better understand how the process works, follow the step-by-step below:
STEP 1 :
After the Client reaches the Designer and they both agree that Casa Consult is the best service to sui t the Client’s needs, the Designer will send a proposal of services and an invoice for the first hour of consultation. This deposit guarantees both parties are committed to at least 1 hour of work.
STEP 2:
Once the Designer receives the proposal signed and the invoice is paid by the Client to the Designer, the Client will be ready to be booked into Casa Alchemy’ s calendar. The Designer and the Client should agree on the best time for the service to happen.
STEP 3:
The Client will receive an invitation by email for the meeting. If the Client does not receive this confirmation, the Client should check the spam folder and/or contact the Designer.
STEP 4:
One hour after the consultation starts, the Client will be reminded and asked if he/she wants to go forward into the next hour of work or interrupt the service. If the Client decides to proceed, the new invoice with the remaining hours worked will be sent to the client together with the document stating all of that was discussed during the consultation.
FAQ'S ABOUT CASA CONSULT
Q: What if the consultation lasts less than 1 hour?
A: The Client will be charged a full hour, not a partial hour.
Q: What if the consultation lasts for longer than expected?
A: If either the Client or the Designer has to reschedule in order to finish the consultation successfully, the clock counting the hours will stop, and recommence on the next agreed date and time. However, the invoice will be sent, counting all hours as full. The remaining time of the paid hour will not be charged again.
Q: Does the Client need to send anything to the Designer before the consultation?
A: No, and it’s asked the client not to. However, the Designer advises that for the best use of time, the Client has in hand all measurements of the space, the furniture, and everything else to be considered.
Q: What does the Client need for the consultation?
A: The client needs to have in hand a measuring tape and a phone with a camera device connected to the internet.
Q: What if the Client wants the Designer to go to the site or to visit a supplier?
A: The Designer charges $195 + GST per hour to go to a supplier or site. All extra costs are included in the price; however, depending on the conditions, the Designer reserves the right to decline the job.
Q: Is travel time counted on the hourly rate?
A: Yes.
